Yes it is. I have version 5.3 installed on XP and 6.1 installed on 7. And no, I don't think you can. I believe we got the 6.1 version so that the program would, in fact, run on 7 when version 5.3 was not.

Interesting I am assuming this is for reading a spool file on an IBM iSeries and trying to print the spool file VIA Client Access. Have you ran any patches to Client Access?

It definitely could be...from the sounds of the issue it is directly associated with Client Access so it would be a good place to start.

You should be able to set the V6R1 install to read off of a V5R4 box but not the other way around. Also upgrading an iSeries from V5R4 to V7R1 is a huge undertaking.
